Jenso “JP” Plymouth first set foot in the music industry in 2012 as a production and engineering intern at Crosby Collective Recording Studios in NYC while studying full-time at St. John's University. Within one short year, the eager intern was promoted to studio manager, at just 20 years old.

Today, while continuing to manage Crosby Recording Studios (now based in Los Angeles), JP is juggling a full plate of early career milestones - managing another powerhouse recording studio at ground-breaking record label Human Re-Sources while simultaneously being the 'go-to' recording engineer for superstar artists like Chris Brown + Victoria Monet. JP is also contributing a monthly article for celebrated music production publication, Recording Magazine and curating an impressive growing music production catalog of his own, credited by NBA 2K22 and YSL artist Duke. 

 

As an engineer, JP has established a discography of engineering projects that have, without a doubt, moved the needle for the culture of Hip-Hop and R&B. Some of theses include, the 10x Platinum and Grammy nominated record ‘Drip Too Hard’ by Lil Baby and Gunna, Grammy-nominated album '11:11' by Chris Brown, multiple tracks from Victoria Monet's 2024 album 'JAGUAR II DELUXE', the lead single ‘Guilty’ and many other tracks from Sevyn Streeter’s 2021 album: 'Drunken Words Sober Thoughts', multiple tracks from Billboard Hot 100’s #1 album, ‘So Much Fun’ by Young Thug, 21 Savage’s album #1 album ‘i am > i was’, and Rich The Kid’s album ‘The World Is Yours 2’, to name a few.

​In 2025, JP started the year strong: he mixed two songs on Lil Baby's album “WHAM,” which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, and earned his first Grammy Award for Best R&B Album for his work recording Chris Brown's “11:11 (Deluxe).”

In 2024, JP was interviewed and featured in the June issue of Revolt Magazine. In his ‘Studio Sessions’ article, JP is highlighted for his studious work ethic and extensive body of work with YSL and recognized for his impeccable work ethic, and natural ability to expedite artists' flow in the studio. JP muses on the impact Crosby Recording Studios has had on his career, working under the likes of engineers Angad 'Bainz' Bains and Teezio, and how they accompanied his for success. ​

 

Along with his previously stated contributions, JP is also selectively acquiring artists under his management roster, providing invaluable insight and his vast network of collaborators and professionals to assist with growing their careers.
